The journey began in 2008, a flicker of an idea nestled in the back of my mind, only to be paused as circumstances shifted and the search for the perfect location ensued.

But everything changed for me in 2015 when I first set foot on this property. As I stood there, I felt an undeniable sense that this was the place where my dream could finally take root. 

Then, in 2016, the real adventure kicked off. It wasn’t easy. There were bumps along the way and obstacles that seemed determined to stall my progress. But each hurdle only fueled my determination to turn this land into a vibrant lavender field for everyone in Thurston County to enjoy. 

And here we are—standing at the threshold of a dream realized. 

I know it might sound cliché, but throughout my life, I’ve always harbored a wild and colorful imagination.

It could be the ONLY child thing where I had to figure out how to set up my matchbox car trains one-by-one in creating back-up traffic all over the carpet. Or maybe when I had to figure out how to shoot another 3 point shot in basketball or how to shave off a few seconds in 110M hurdles to break a state record-

- whatever it could be, it’s that very creativity that pushed me to transform an idea into something tangible, something that has opened up fully right before my eyes. 

The mission here, at Hillside Farms, is simple: to create an unforgetable  experience, one that captures the essence of your unique love story through authentic and emotive backdrop in every minute for you, your family, and your guests. The barn brings in a mix of couples from all over, some reaching across the ocean, with the one common thread, they want to ENJOY their day for the full time of getting dressed - all the way to the final send off- 

without worrying about the nuances of the behind the scenes- ie: the parking, the vendors, the fully functional bathrooms ( not lift the lid in a cubical port-a-potty ) the chair & table placement, etc.
